Home cooked, seasonal meals sounds simple, but l know first hand how challenging it can be to return to these fundamental practices - even when we know they are supportive

Despite being a long time home cook, after the birth of my daughter l found the whole task of planning what to eat, and cooking totally overwhelming.

I grasped towards rigid meal prepping and freezing bulk meals, but eating the same thing repeatedly and with all the life force of a piece of cardboard really took its toll.

This rigidity sapped all the joy from cooking and eating; l felt disenchanted and disconnected from nature, something that weighed particularly heavily on me.

It wasn’t a case of just trying harder.

I realised a shift was needed.
